1. Create complex passwords
Be
silly! Be different! Be random! As long as you remember it. some
passwords can be predictable, like Birthdays, Names, etc. Did you know,
that according to "The Telegraph" UK , that as of 2016, the most common
passwords are "12345", "qwerty", and "111111". So make your password
have letters and numbers and put it in a way you will remember. you can
make a code. example, maybe your favorite animal is a giraffe, try
making it into "G1r@ff3", or anything, as long as you don't be
predictable, hackers can get through you account an you don't want that.
2. Don't post private/personal information.
This
is a mistake many users make when they are new to the social media
craze. Once you post your number, address, etc. you're "giving away"
your account to those who can get it. Hackers can use those data against
you by getting into your account. Posting such information for the
public to see can cause you financial problems, and even your life. Many
people get ruined because of this, so don't fall victim to this, and
keep those information to yourself.
3. Make sure you know what you're doing.People nowadays press carelessly, taking surveys, any measures to get information from you. when taking surveys, be sure that its real and not a scam. you can try and notice the type of questions they may give in the survey. Questions such as "What is your home address"?, "Whats your mobile number?", etc. don't easily give it unless its for a research purposes.
